I am constantly hitting it and end up typing shit in the middle of something else. That sucks.<br><br>I might start typing something meaningful in here at some point. 		<content type="html"><![CDATA[Well, good evening.<br>We have worked hard for a good number of days, and had some help, so the house is finally somewhat presentable for the first annual Junkpc Decemberween extravaganza.<br>Well, it's maybe not all that.<br>It's just Mrs Junkpc's family.<br>... but it *is* here.<br><br>So I am finishing laundry, waiting for my brother to arrive from the shadows of a pollution creation factory somewhere in the wilds of Pennsyltucky, and catching up on sbemails. Yes, sbemails.<br>It's been a while, but the little guy still has it.<br>The emails are a lot longer than they used to be, though.<br><br>So, anyway, a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Awesome Kwanzaa, Crazy Yule, Slammin' Solstice, and a Thnikkaman Decemberween. I think I know why people say 'happy holidays'. I'm glad that it's not also administrative professional appreciation day as well. I was able to install the SBS BPA tool, and find out how much stuff I have done incorrectly. This list includes service packs and patches that I haven't done. The good thing is that I now have something to tell me what I need to do.<br><br>I'm still thinking about baby stuff; I've been researching video baby monitors - some of them have low-light cameras. Unfortunately, none of them have night vision. That would be really cool. One of them ( <a href="http://www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Handheld-Monitor-Screen/dp/B00020V5A2/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_ttl_ex/102-8367388-7418562)">www.amazon.com/Summer-Infant-Handheld-Monitor-Screen/dp/B00020V5A2/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_ttl_ex/102-8367388-7418562)</a> has a portable screen which is pretty cool. I have a few others to check, but we still have a while yet.<br><br>Also, the carrier conundrum continues. A friend suggested that I not get something like this: <a href="http://www.gracobaby.com/products/category.asp?N=400+10417">www.gracobaby.com/products/category.asp?N=400+10417</a> because the infant seat part won't last very long. I was thinking that I could get 2 seat bases, one for each car. Another friend told me that these things are, in fact, awesome.<br><br>Unfortunately, this sort of choice is a lot like telling someone that knows nothing about cars to pick out a car to race in some type of endurance race. I mean, I know Graco is a brand, I know Toys R Us sells this stuff, but that's about it. I have a book that I need to look through - but again, I have a bit of time before I need those.<br><br>Oh look - a few lines of computer stuff, and&nbsp; lot of baby stuff. I have been told that it's likely that this may not last very long for the price.<br><br>Add to this, you have the portable bouncing seat, (do you need that?), the four wheel drive stroller, the la-z-boy car seat, the flux capacitor.... anyway - I obviously have a lot to learn.<br><br>I don't want to turn this into a baby-only site, but it's one of the bigger (well.... not physically bigger).. things going on in my life at the moment - so I'm going to talk about it.<br><br>Anyway - I'll go learn about that later. 		<content type="html"><![CDATA[Well, I debated how to phrase this for a bit - so here goes.<br>You all know that on here, I refer to my lovely wife as Mrs. Junkpc. <br>The is the first official web announcement that we will be bringing another life into the world.<br>No, we're not getting another kitten.... yet. Mrs. Junkpc is carrying our baby, who - because I am a nerd - I have decided to refer to as the VM (Virtual Machine) - because like a computer inside a computer, this is a person inside a person.<br>We are both pretty excited.<br>It was really ultra cool to see the first image of the little VM, and the power supply as just going insane - like a hummingbird. (and by power supply, I mean heart)<br>Hopefully, I can be a good administrator (to carry the metaphor ridiculously far), and we're hoping that we get a good disk image down; one with no virii or malware.<br><br>To take a phrase from Mr. Peter Griffin, "This is gonna be freakin' sweet"<br><br>I cannot think of anything else meaningful to say - so I bid you good night.<br><div></div>]]></content>

I have one other that's a standby, and one that's well - pretty much my real name.<br>I do like to be the only junkpc. I think I am well on the way, except that I don't think I have Yahoo. 		<title>Time for a brief update</title>

		<content type="html"><![CDATA[Let's see - Where shall I begin?<br>Went to an O's game withe some friends. The Orioles, as they do, lost. But, we had a pretty good sandwich, and a pretty good night. There are pictures at images.junkpc.com, if you're interested.<br>Speaking of pictures, the ones I took at the game came out nowbere as nice as I thought they would. There's probably a mode on the samera, or something else I could have done, to make them come out better. I mean, we paid a good bit of money for a camera that can do lots of stuff - but I guess, like any tool, you have to know how to use it.<br>Which brings me to minirant time: When did it become the software designer or network administrator's job to make software work how you, the user, want it to? I mean, if button A does one thing, why in the hell would you blame the software vendor because button A does not do something else?? It's like using any other tool - you wouldn't try to shoot somebody with a rachet, would you?<br>How about this: let's find some brave soul to put some sort of welding tool in the hands of one of these people - and when they start to bitch because the fire doesn't go where they think it should, ask them to point it at their own face.<br>Grr.<br>Anyway, we also had a day of gaming planned with a friend and his new willing female companion (sorry, Jason - had to <img src="http://craptastic.junkpc.com/emoticons/smile.png" border="0" /> ). They drove up to where we live from somewhere in VA. Mrs. Junkpc claims that she missed the last step, causing a load of pain in her foot/ankle. Truth is that it was wife-beating day, and I got carried away.<br>Anyway, the short version is that our friends had to drive back home, we went to the Dr. to find out that she didn't break the ankle, she just sprained it *really*badly.<br>That made for a fun rest-of-the-weekend.<br>I never even want to think about interviewing for a butler job.<br>F that.<br>But seriously, she's feeling a bit better now, and will soon be back up to running enough to chase me down for the wife beating remark.<br><br>Ok - time to go read some more Harry Potter. I have 2 more books to go before 7 comes in, and they are the long ones.<br>Oh, and I have a PC to recussitate that I should have had done.... well.... long ago.<br>The owner's getting anxious.<br>Guess I'll do that tomorrow.<br><br>...and here's hoping that they still have Rush tickets left.<br><br>G;nite.<br>]]></content>
